Erik Edwards grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia where he took AP courses and excelled in basketball at Marietta High School. After graduating with honors, he pursued his undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University, where he received a B.A. degree. Following college graduation, Erik took a year off from educational studies to gain real-world experiences working on various public policy and community engagement campaigns in Atlanta. With a greater awareness of the need for community engagement related to important public policy issues, Erik went to New Orleans to pursue graduate studies in the field of Health Administration at Tulane University. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Health Administration and also became a certified personal trainer.
Modeling is not new to Erik as he began down this path on a part-time basis following college. He has modeled for Maya Guez, Carlos Jones, James C. Lewis, Jerris Madison, and JR West. He has been featured in OBVIOUS Magazine and has also been in the Atlanta’s Bronner Bros show part of Terrence Davidson’s production. Erik also had a minor role in a Tyler Perry's 'Madea's Witness Protection'.
An interesting fact about Erik is that during the week that Tulane accepted him into their to graduate program, he also received an offer from a New York agency to discuss a modeling career. Erik was faced with a challenge but made an agreement with his mother that he would forgo modeling to secure his master’s degree. Now that he has completed his education, Erik, with mom’s support, is ready to throw himself into modeling full-time.
